Re: Two Canadian Women Deported from Cuba after Arriving:

It seems to me that they've been specifically targeted by security twits because not only were they targeted because of a REALLY common last name that people of latin heritage might have (Diaz) but 1 sister was detained while the other let go with no further questions asked. How does that work? The scary part is that because its a communist country, based off those guard's statements, you don't have any rights? This might be a rare happening but it raises the question of how badly someone can get treated, harrased and possibly land in jail, because of badly trained officials who deny you any rights. The even worst part is that they basically lost probably between $2000 and $3000 dollars due to the company not taking any responsability for the Cuban government's actions, which, again, were beyond inadequate. Glad to see they got $300 towards a NEXT purchase with the same company for a vacation. God forbid Sunwing Vacations lose money they didn't earn.
