Re:Wedding Dress Drama! I'm not alone!!!

As commented many other brides/bridesmaids, I too am CURRENTLY experiencing dissatisfaction with Bridal Wardrobe/Sherwood Bridal. Long story short, I purchased 5 bridesmaid dresses in Feb 06 and was told they will arrive in June 06. When I called in June, i was told the dresses are not ready yet, but I was told they will arrive in the store on July 10th. So I call on July 11th...NO DRESSES. I then directly call the manufacterer of the dresses...to discover they have made my dresses, but refuse to ship them to Bridal Wardrobe/Sherwood Bridal. I was advised to get my money back (in which i paid for all the dresses in full), and to go to another dress supplier in order to recieve my dresses. Currently, I am in the process of hearing back from the manager re: a refund. I have called, and called, and called...and NO ONE has returned my messages. I feel that they prescreen the calls coming in...and purposly refuse to pick up the phone!!! Anyways...I can't believe I missed this story on Global News..but when I read about it online, I was overwhelmed to learn I AM NOT ALONE!!! I almost feel this to be an online support group..(thanks Sean!).
Well, in terms of refund..I have a strong feeling that Sherwood Bridal/Bridal Wardrobe will not give me back my money...so I have taken it one step further and contacted my credit card company. I have filed a Dispute against the transactions, and hopefully, I'll get my money back that way.
We'll see what happens. I'll keep you posted!
